Bill, Anna and Gabby we were so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom and grandma. Sending our love and prayers to you all.

We were saddened by the news of Jean’s passing . Know that your family is in our families hearts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. We too know the sorrow of losing your mother we lost ours September 4, 2013. We’ve learned to laugh again when reminiscing about our parents. Sadness will be replaced by joy one day.
As we began talking today about Jean there was a solemn moment where I thought how heartbreaking for you., We started reliving memories and were soon laughing., not out of disrespect, but from the things remembered. Times like when your dad was painting your house and set his arm on fire, which wasn’t funny until your mom yelled out “Lloyd! Ya done set yourself on fire!”.
Your family had a large part in our family’s life.as far back as we could remember.Mrs. Davis, Juanita, Jay and your dad were family to our dad “Smitty”.
We talked about how nice your mother was to us when we were constantly knocking on the door and hanging around the house. Then we started the “remember the time when”
Little Lloyd took us on his motorcycle and promised to come back to marry us?
When Dicky painted our grandparents house because that’s just how sweet he was?
How Shirley was the big sister I needed and being like her mom was too nice to tell me go home?
Jean frying the catfish that Billy caught and me helping “euthanize” them in her kitchen?
Alan growing up from a baby with that twinkle in his eye and grin on his face?
There are so many more moments we shared today while remembering your mom Jean.
She and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. With love and gratefulness,
The Smith family (Barbara & Sherry)
I'm sorry to hear that Aunt Jeanne passed away this morning, Heaven gained a special Angel. May God wrap his loving arms around her children & all of her grieving family. I have many memories of her coming to Traverse City to visit, you never knew when she would just pop in, but we loved spending time with her, she has a special place in my heart. I love you & RIP Aunt Jeanne.
