I will always remember "Mrs. Murphy" as one of the St. Mary Magdalen school mom's who participated in everything; from chaperoning our field trips, to cheering us on at football and basketball games. My fondest memory of her was working Saturday night bingo as a kid. I was trying to earn extra money and she was in charge. She made work fun and all who worked were treated to pizza afterwards...fond memories of my childhood and she was part of them. As I reflect, her selfless acts of kindness and God is what drove her. May you rest in Peace with your Beloved ones. My condolences to the family.

Remembering the Sunday picnics at Teeple Hill with the Murphys and each year as the babies came to our families, we packed a little more stuff. We got up early to go to Mass before the trek out there; t'was before Saturday evening Mass. Remembering the Christmas tree Ralph and I erected for the Murphy children before they came home from Grandma's in Indiana...the darn thing would not stand up it was so big. We had to find fishing line or twine to tie it to the drapery rod. One of the Murphy kids spotted the twine and said ' Mom, how did Santa do that...'? Remembering Carol's strawberry shortcake and Miracle Whip Salad Dressing chocolate cake - I've still got the recipe! Remembering so much as she and Pat were Godparents to our Christopher Criger. I wish all of you wonderful "Rememberings", it gets you through the tough days.

The memories I have of my dear sister could fill a book. All the summers I spent “supposedly “ helping her with her growing family. But looking back I know I was more of a “pain”. She was the best listener I know. Just talking to her made me feel better. I don’t know how I would have survived my husband’s death if she hadn’t been right beside me the whole time. Thank you God for putting her in my life. 💕
